Dr Hamza Hamouchene's keynote will anchor this year's CASID conference entitled “Development and Insecurity in an Era of Overlapping Crises” with a discussion on the concept of poly-crises, their origins and underlying causes, and strategies for tackling injustices in a divided world. In conversation with the keynote speaker, Dr Hamza Hamouchene, we seek to take the discussion across disciplines, and address the challenges faced today that have affected both people and planet, and discuss a sustainable way to address them. The session will critically assess both the past and ways to move forward into what is an uncertain future, emphasizing praxis.
The session will take place on Wednesday, June 12th, 10 AM – 12 PM
DS-R520, UQAM
The event will be in English with a simultaneous translation to French.
