The Canadian Association for the Study of International Development (CASID) is proud to announce a new partnership with the University of British Columbia, Okanagan which will see it serve as the new host of the editorial office of the Canadian Journal of Development Studies for a five year period (2020-2025).

Dr. Haroon Akram-Lodhi (Trent University) remains as Editor of the CJDS, but will be joined by Interim Co-Editor, Dr. Ananya Mukherjee Reed (Professor, Economics, Philosophy and Political Science, UBC-O) for the first year of the partnership.  UBC Okanagan is in the process of recruiting a new Managing Editor for the journal and we look forward to a smooth transition of the CJDS to its new host institution.

CASID and the CJDS also want to express their gratitude to outgoing Managing Editor, Martha Snodgrass, as well as the former host institution, the Simon Fraser University School of International Studies.  During CJDS’ time at SFU, the journal has grown in quality and reputation, owing much to the hard work of Martha and the SFU team.

During the transition period between editorial offices the CJDS continues to accept submissions and expects no interruption in the publication schedule for future volumes.
