Mahanya Mallubhotla
(She/Her)
Mahanya Mallubhotla (she/her) is a fourth-year undergraduate International Development and Globalization student at the University of Ottawa. Some of her areas of interest include global health, climate change, and food security. Mahanya joined Ignio in 2022 as she believes that learning takes place through conversation and expression and Ignio allows students to do so. During her free time, Mahanya pursues Indian Classical dance and enjoys reading.

Nora Afifi
(She/Her)
Nora Afifi (she/her) is an undergraduate student in her final year of the International Development and Globalization program at the University of Ottawa. Her work in the public and not-for-profit sectors inform her interests in conflict, peacebuilding, natural resource governance, and climate change. Joining Ignio in 2022 has inspired her passion for knowledge production and dissemination. In her free time, you will likely catch her descending into another internet rabbit hole.

Justine Pascual
(She/Her)
Justine Pascual (she/her) holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences in International Development and Globalization from the University of Ottawa. She has a particular interest in labour migration, collective memory, and identity formation among diaspora communities. She joined Ignio to build a space for students and young professionals to hone their skills and share perspectives on international development. In her free time, Justine enjoys reading science fiction novels and creating playlists for her friends and family.

Amal Ahmed
Amal Ahmed (she/her) is an undergraduate student at the University of Ottawa studying international development and globalization. She joined Ignio to engage more deeply with the field and support students who share her passion for global issues. Some of her interests are cultural heritage preservation and postcolonial studies. In her free time, Amal attempts to work through her endless movie watch list.

Ketsia Nana
Ketsia Nana (she/her) is a third-year undergraduate student in International Development and Globalization at the University of Ottawa. When she is not reading her hundredth book of the month, you will find her sipping some tea while writing. She joined Ignio in 2024, hoping to assert herself more in the development field and to make a tangible and long-term impact on the world.
