As guest editor, I found the editorial process of the Journal to be agile and rigorous, with reviewers’ comments greatly contributing to the quality of the articles published in our special issue. The journal gave great visibility to the article I co-authored with Luz Marina Monzón, and the quality of the editorial process contributed to the award for best article published in 2017 by the Canadian Association for Latin American and Caribbean Studies for emerging researchers.
