CASID 2019 has just wrapped at UBC, and on the CASID Executive is pleased to make one belated conference-related announcement regarding the winner of the 2019 Kari Polanyi-Levitt Prize competition for top student paper.
The winner of the 2019 KPL Prize is Jemima Nomunume Baada for her paper “Rethinking Remittances in Migration and Development Discourses”.
Baada is a PhD Student in the Department of Women’s Studies and Feminist Research at the University of Western Ontario. As recipient of the KPL prize, Baada’s paper will be considered for publication in a future issue of the Canadian Journal of Development Studies.
